Wilmette Auto Body is a family owned business that has been serving Wilmette and the surrounding communities for more than 40 years. Our goal is to make the inconvenient and often traumatic experience of a car accident as easy and painless for you as possible.
How it all started…
Our story began back in 1962 when Shig Matsumoto started a little body & fender shop at 415 Greenbay Road in Wilmette (that’s the Jewel now!).
Glen & Dean worked in the shop together as a body tech & a painter. In 1982, they partnered up and took over the business.
We moved to 1920 Lake Avenue in 1997…
Added another building in 2012 and here we are today!
